Day 01 + 02, Yangon

2 nights in Yangon with arrival transfers and 1 day of city tour of major sites which includes Botataung riverside Pagoda; Pansodan Street where there are old colonial buildings; SuleCity center Pagoda; Chauk Htatgyi reclining Buddha and the world’s famous ‘Shwedagon Pagoda.

Day 03, Yangon - Golden Rock

At base of Golden Rock transfer to a local truck to the middle camp and this is followed by a 45 minute hike (or take palanquin chair) to the summit. Visit Golden Rock temple. Overnight at summit.(Breakfast)

Day 04, Golden Rock – Mawlamyaing

Return to the base camp by a hike or chair & local truck and then private car drive to Mawlamyaing, the capital of MonState and the first British settlement on Burmese soil. Visit Bayin Nyi cave on the way. After brief rest at the hotel, visit to Kyaikthalan.

Pagoda (where Kipling wrote his famous poem ‘Road to Mandalay’), and view the sunset from Yankin Hill. (Breakfast)

Day 05, Mawlamyaing

Explore Mawlamyaing environs such as the town of Thanbyuzayat known for the beginning of death railroad and WWII memorial cemetery, the town Mudon and Winsein Tawya with its gigantic reclining Buddha, and Hpaout meditation center. (Breakfast)

Day 06, Mawlamyaing – Hpa Ha

Half day visits including Shampoo island and Kadoe Kawnet village to see the extraordinary monastery from 19th century. Drive to Hpa?An, the capital of Kayin state. In the evening, enjoy the sunset from Shweyinmyhaw Pagoda. (Breakfast)

Day 07, Hpa-An – Yangon

After visiting some highlights and Kawkun cave, drive back to Yangon. (Breakfast)

Day 08, Yangon – Mandalay (By Flight)

On arrival Mandalay proceed for full day tour of three ancient cities –Amarapura, Inwa, and Sagaing using a combination of car, ferry and horse cart. (Breakfast)

Day 09, Mandalay

Day 10, Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin

Drive to Pyin Oo Lwin, a former British hill station. Visit waterfalls, enjoy wagon ride along the circular road, and explore in the huge grounds of Botanical garden. (Breakfast)

Day 11, Pyin Oo Lwin – Monywa

It is about a 5 hour drive to Monywa. If time permits, visit to Paleik Snake temple at feeding time. Short visits on the way including Thanboddhay pagoda, 10,000 Bodhi tree pagoda, and gigantic Buddhas at Po Kaung Hills. There may be time for an evening stroll around town. (Breakfast)

Day 12, Monywa – Bagan

Ferry boat ride to the other side of ChindwinRiver and local jeep ride (45min) to Po Win Daung caves to see exquisite mural paintings and sculptures carved out of living rock. Return to Monywa and continue to Pakokku, a large town renown for cotton and tobacco on the western AyerwaddyRiver. Then 2.5 hour private boat trip to Bagan and enjoy the most beautiful part of the river. (Breakfast)

Mt.Popa, M.RyanDay 13 + 14, Bagan full day visits

2 full days of visits to major archeological sites in this amazing city. Sites includeNyaung Oo Market and Shwezigon pagoda, a must for everyone visiting Bagan. Additional temple highlights include Kyansitther cave, Htilominlo Anandan temples, and temples of Myinkabar village area such as Manuhar, NanPaya, Gubyaukgyi and Abyeyadanar and more.

Day 15, Bagan – Mt Popa

Drive to Mt Popa, the “Olympus” of Myanmar. Mt Popa is now part of the National Park. (Breakfast)

Day 16, Mt Popa – Kalaw

Drive to Kalaw, arriving in the afternoon. Kalaw is a favorite destination with its cooler weather, and great hiking trails. At leisure after arrival. (Breakfast)

Day 17 + 18, Kalaw

One day of full day guided trekking tour, and 1 day to just relax and enjoy the pine scented hills. (Breakfast)

Day 19, Kalaw – Inle Lake

Drive to Nyaungshwe and then boat transfer to the hotel on the lake. After check in and a brief rest, proceed for a boat tour on the lake. (Breakfast)

Day 20 + 21, Inle Lake
